Vote for the right person. That’s the only option. Vote for the best person for the job. If everyone did that, instead of voting in fear that “the other guy might win” we might actually accomplish something.
You are voting out of fear. I vote for the best person for the job. Last time I didn’t vote, because there wasn’t a good person for the job. If no one voted, well, they would have gotten the message wouldn’t they?
You will tear this apart and try to point out everything wrong with what I say, but the fact is, I’m right. There’s no way around it.
Sure, it’s not the way things work. Fine. But I’m a pie-in-the-sky realist. I see how the world works, and I reject it and do what’s right. Its how we should all be acting if we really want it to change. To do otherwise is to just keep going along to get along, and that I can’t abide.
So deconstruct all you want, it won’t matter. Voting any way other than the person you think is right for the job is just going to make things worse, not better. And there’s no way around that.
